Launched by a team of volunteers in 2018, Common Power mobilizes volunteers to take action in key states that impact national elections and voting rights in our country.

Common Power is strengthening the US electorate and increasing access to voting for underrepresented communities. Focusing on maintaining and improving the electoral system is essential for a more just and inclusive democracy but it’s also a tactic/space that has been historically exclusive and harmful to Black and Brown communities resulting in a loss of hope and participation in the process.

Our unique way of addressing this issue.

If you’re a creative, innovator, or organizer you know the studio is where ideas come to life and where you go to get shit done. For us, it represents a state of mind - creativeness, collaboration, and continuous experimentation!

On the day-to-day,

The CP Studio identifies and creates emergent strategies that inspire hope and build community power.

These emergent forms of building power are increasingly led by diverse next-generation leaders, many of them from underrepresented communities that are key to sustaining democracy and building a more equitable future. We’re curating experiences, connecting local and national movements, and investing in innovative ideas!

CP’s investment into this space ensures that we’re building a more just and inclusive democracy through our electoral system AND by investing in grassroots solutions and the young leaders bold enough to bring them to life.
